The Technology Platform DCS department (stream) is dedicated to supporting platform development by creating and delivering reusable, business-independent architectures and building blocks. Our mission is to enhance the scalability and adaptability of solutions across all Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the organization. We specialize in providing foundational infrastructure building blocks, specific infrastructure for platform Functional Modules, and addressing cybersecurity needs. Our approach facilitates the adoption of cloud-native techniques, applicable both in cloud environments and on-premise infrastructure, driving innovation and efficiency in modern software development. The Infra team designs and delivers standard design concepts and reference architectures, forming the basis for deploying and configuring specific IT solutions in customer environments.
Your Role
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and optimize the foundational IT infrastructure that supports the development, deployment, and operation of critical software systems. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability and performance across compute, storage, and network environments.
As part of the Technology Platform – Infrastructure team, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and IT operations to deliver robust and efficient infrastructure architectures. You will also play a key role in supporting a growing Agile team in an environment with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure architectures for both Linux and Windows-based environments.
- Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent solutions.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for critical IT systems.
- Optimize infrastructure performance, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for identity management, authentication, and access control.
- Work within an Agile delivery framework, balancing priorities and dependencies with other teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to newer team members helping them to ramp up.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness.
What do we ask from you?
Technical Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, system engineering, or related roles.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- OS Expertise: Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments, including virtualization and hybrid/cloud infrastructure.
- Authentication & Security: Strong understanding of authentication protocols, identity and access management and security standards (IEC62443).
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Proven experience designing fault-tolerant architectures with robust backup & recovery strategies.
- Networking & Storage: Strong grasp of networking principles, storage solutions, and performance optimization.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and system administration.
- CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and DevOps methodologies.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4747 to € 6443 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
