The role

The role will report to Global IT Director and dotted line to Market Managing Director. The IT Director will be part of the Market Management team.

Location for this position is Stockholm (Sickla) or Gothenburg.

We believe that a hybrid work approach—combining office and remote work—enhances both performance and collaboration. Employees have the flexibility to work three days in the office and two days from home, allowing for a balance between virtual and in-person engagement.

Purpose of Role
The Market IT Director is a strategic leader, driving IT operations, transformation and product development. The role bridges local business needs with global IT strategies, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives while fostering an agile, product-driven organization. In Sweden, the IT Director will play a key role in shaping and integrating a combined IT and product organization, leading change and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Execution: Lead IT and product transformation, aligning local and global priorities while managing projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Product & Innovation: Build a strong product organization, standardizing processes and developing client-centric solutions with seamless journeys.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with Market leadership and Global IT to drive strategy, ensuring effective implementation of global solutions and adherence to best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee local IT applications, data governance, cloud transitions, and capability development while balancing immediate business needs with long-term IT solutions.
• Team & Performance Management: Lead the market IT team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving continuous improvement.

Your Background

·        You have a Bachelor´s degree or similar vocational experience

·        You have a strong corporate IT experience / business knowledge, with a background in the financial sector (preferably debt collection).

·        You have experience of running a combined IT and Product organisation

·        Proven track record from a leadership position or leadership experience from complex projects and have done at least one Agile transformation.

·        Good experience working within Matrix organizations with corporate governance and also an international environment with various stakeholders.

·        You are fluent in both Swedish and English.

·        As a person you will thrive in this role if you like transformation and a fast paced environment.

·        You need to be a problem solving person and a relationship builder.
