Cortica is looking for an IT Automation & Integrations Engineer to join its growing team!
The IT Automation and Integrations Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions and system integrations to optimize Cortica’s IT and business processes. This role primarily focuses on developing scripts, utilizing Microsoft Power Automate, administering and engineering Jira, and managing Microsoft applications to enhance operational efficiency. This position is critical in streamlining workflows, improving system functionality, and ensuring seamless data flow between applications, thereby enabling users to perform their roles more effectively and efficiently.

What will you do?
Automation and Integration Development:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using scripting languages and tools like Microsoft Power Automate to streamline IT and business processes.
- Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise applications such as Jira, Microsoft apps, and other systems to enhance functionality and data flow.
- Create and manage scripts for automating routine tasks and improving system efficiency.
Jira Administration and Engineering:
- Administer and configure Jira to meet the needs of various teams, including setting up projects, workflows, custom fields, permissions, and notifications.
- Implement Jira apps and automations as needed to extend functionality.
Microsoft Applications and Power Platform:
- Oversee the full lifecycle management of Microsoft applications, including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and other related tools. Responsibilities include planning and implementing upgrades, establishing best practices for governance and security, managing user permissions, and ensuring optimal configuration to support business needs. Utilize Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to design and deploy custom solutions that enhance productivity and streamline processes.
- Responsible for project ownership, developing, executing, and managing projects to continually improve and expand the use of Microsoft applications within the organization.
AWS, Azure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Responsible to deploy and manage AWS and Azure infrastructure services, from planning through execution.
- Independently create and oversee deployment plans, managing projects from inception to delivery.
- Use Terraform or other IaC tools to automate the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure resources, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Responsible for end-to-end responsibility, including project management and hands-on deployment as needed.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical assistance and support related to automation workflows, integrations, and application issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with scripts, integrations, and system configurations.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work collaboratively with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Document processes, workflows, configurations, and procedures for developed solutions.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation, integration, and cloud services.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems and processes through automation and integration.
Data Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that all automation and integration solutions adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements regarding data protection and security.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- You bring 2+ years of experience in automation, scripting, or integrations engineering.
- You are proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- You are proficient in working with APIs across cloud applications.
- You have experience with Microsoft Power Automate and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- You have hands-on experience with Jira administration and engineering.
- You are familiar with Microsoft applications, including Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint.

The base pay range for this opening is $85,333.33 to $106,666,67. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
