As an IT Analyst Applications, you will be responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining application systems and BI Solutions for different business units all over the company. As part of IT Global Chief Information Officer team within Services, Distribution & Digital division, you will play the role of Scrum Master and will manage multiple IT projects using Agile methodology, collaborating with cross-functional development teams and Product Owners from our business.
You will also provide expertise to solve business challenges and achieve profitable business strategies leveraging Caterpillar's global footprint.
As IT Analyst Applications you will interface with product owners, IT architects, stakeholders, senior leadership, technical or non-technical teams, and Program Managers to design and support scalable technical solutions for many of our projects to meet the future needs of our business partners.
What You Will Do
- Developing, testing, implementing and maintaining multiple IT applications and BI Solutions.
- Manage a team of 5-10 developers per project and work with Product Owners and business representatives to implement new solutions and enhancements for existing systems.
- Use Azure DevOps as a safe source for project management, including business requirements documentation, work items follow up (cost estimation, development), Unit Test, Integration Test, UAT and Implementation, as well as Code Repository and Pipelines management.
- Ensure compliance with IT Controls established by Caterpillar for all our IT applications, such as ITSM procedures (Incident, Change, Release, Problem Management), Access Control, Cybersecurity, DR Plan, and Governance.
- Implement Cybersecurity protocols and resolution of vulnerabilities detected in our tools.
- Communicate effectively with Business team to understand the business needs and improve current solutions or build new solutions.
- Provide consulting services to internal business on process improvement projects designed to improve business values.
- Anticipate complex business problems or process optimization opportunities, identify alternatives, and recommend the best solutions working closely with internal groups.
- Participate in 2-3 projects concurrently.
What You Have
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent; advanced computing skills.
- Knowledge of System and Technology Integration and Core Application Systems.
- Requirements Analysis and Problem Solving skills.
- Usually 5+ years of experience in IT project management or a similar role (Agile Scrum Master, Scrum methodology).
- Proven experience in Software Development Management tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Effective communication in English.

- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment
- One of the following languages: HTML, Java, .Net, SQL
- Adobe Experience Manager
- Knowledge of ETL tools: DataStage, Snaplogic
- Experience with BI Solutions: Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric
- Databases knowledge: Snowflake, MySQL, SQL Server, DB2
- Agile Scrum Master certification or experience with Agile methodology
Additional Information
- Hybrid work policy: 3 days per week from the Malaga office.
- This position may require 10% travel.
