We are looking for a Facilities Operative (Permanent role) to join our team in Stamullen, County Meath. This is a Monday to Friday position, 100% on-site.
Summary of Role
In this position you will play a key role in relation to the maintenance and presentation of facility equipment and buildings. Through general building repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ensure facility is prepared, presented, and maintained to acceptable Pharmaceutical GMP and general housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Typical duties, but not limited to the following. Conducting minor plumbing, carpentry, building fabric, gardening, small building works and painting repairs. Fit internal and external signage Ceiling tile repairs/ replacement, snagging works, Maintain and upkeep of PCI carparks, Waste Control, respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize urgent issues. Office / furniture / equipment moving.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, Liase and support site Contract providers when required: Utilities, Security, Cleaning, Pest Control, Landscaping, Fire Protection, Waste handling and general maintenance.
- To be familiar with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work Procedures for the repair and maintenance of relevant facility equipment.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and GMP during maintenance work.
- To always maintain your work areas in an organised and tidy condition. Correct storage of tools and parts.
- To adhere to all company and legislative health, safety, and environmental requirements
- To participate in all training and assessment activities related to the position, e.g. GMP training, equipment technical training, Health & Safety requirements etc.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Engineering Director / Facilities Manager or Facilities Engineer
- Ensure safe work practices are being always followed, report any near misses immediately to the H&S Department.
- Conduct various other additional tasks that may be required from time to time in accordance with the overall goal of the company.
Knowledge / Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Leaving Cert or equivalent.
- Must be proficient with basic IT packages. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- General Building skills with basic facilities experience.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, landscaping, painting, and carpentry work. Ability to use hand and
- power tools safely.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and have MEWP experience or certification.
- Be able to work on own initiative.
- Mindfulness and pride in maintaining a well-kept indoor and outdoor environment.
- Ability to fault finding and problem-solve.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- 5-10 years’ experience working in building or construction industry.
Desirable:
- Forklift Training & Certification
- MEWP Training & Certification
- GMP or FME Experience
