As an (Inter)national Sales specializing in the Internet of Things (IoT), you will play a key role in expanding our global market presence.
You will generate opportunities, covering the entire Orange Belgium IoT & M2M area portfolio that solves the customer’s business challenges as they digitally transform their business. You will be responsible for reaching the full target objectives of the Business area and define ideal customer profiles and target corresponding companies to initiate conversations with the support of the marketing team.
You will manage (inter)national IoT / M2M Customers and act as an overlay between the B2B Account Manager and the customer for shared accounts. You will liaise with our B2B marketing team and drive the win business process for respective business area opportunities and will independently acquire new projects. You will also contribute to the account and business plans to drive profitable business for the company.
This position requires travelling in Belgium and internationally.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for reaching the full target objectives of the IoT & M2M business area. Actively contribute to the innovation culture by sharing ideas to improve products and processes. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and successful project implementation.
- Develop and implement an (inter)national business development strategy targeting key IoT markets. Plan and execute trips to meet (inter)national customers and participate in key events. Represent the company at (inter)national events, conferences and trade shows to develop network and visibility. Determines, together with the sales management team, the commercial strategy for the IoT & M2M business area and puts it in place. Prepare regular reports on prospecting activities, progress and sales forecasts.
- Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and influential stakeholders in the IoT industry. Participates to IoT & M2M business area strategy activities and help to define policies, guidelines and best practices within Orange Belgium that support continuous improvements.
- Create, develop and close deals in close collaboration with the B2B AM, the marketing department and partners when necessary. Ensure regular follow-up with customers after the sale to guarantee their satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities based on the needs and preferences of potential customers. Establish key customer relationships if needed, with the support of the B2B AM.
- Understands customer requirements and offers standard/bespoke solutions as well as tailor made solutions depending on the needs of the customer.
- Persuasively communicate the benefits of our IoT solutions to solve specific customer problems. Simplify the complicated; breaking down the complexities of technology and focusing on the outcomes our customers want. Contribute to increasing our visibility on professional social networks (LinkedIn, ...).
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in a sales position with some experience in the IoT or telecom field
- Developed communication, influencing & negotiation skills
- Strong presentation & communication skills
- Adapt quickly to market developments and new technologies in the IoT sector
- Fluent Dutch, English & French at the conversational level
