We are in search of an IoT Core PS Engineer. In this role you will be part of the creation and maintenance of our solution, in the Core Network and Connectivity landscape. You will be involved in the development and maintenance lifecycles as well as working towards accurately engineered information systems, containing software as the major component.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design, Solution Maintenance and Development
- Early engagement in implementation for New or Enhanced Service introduction.
- Network nodes software application upgrades and patching
- Automate software & patching upgrades through scalable and maintainable scripts
- Ensure network designs align with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and design cellular network architectures, including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and future technologies.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, specifications, and configuration guides.
- Develop and execute test plan to validate the new solutions.
- Method of Procedure (MoP) documentation and implementation through scripts and other tools
Performance, Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor network performance and capacity and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Involved in Capacity & Performance activities on relevant nodes
- Address and resolve complex network issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide input to ensure operational needs are considered and assist to define monitoring and troubleshooting requirements.
- Involvement in Critical incidents resolution and RCA
Partner, Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Operations, other partners and customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on network solutions.
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to customers and stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
- Devise and deliver training programs and support documentation to other team members and groups
Innovation and Research
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate new advancements into network solutions.
- Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance network capabilities.
Compliance and Security
- Ensure that network designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security protocols.
- Implement and oversee network security measures to protect data and network integrity.
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Proven capabilities in systems managed services, including management of issues of interconnection, communication, etc.
- Candidate should be an expert in Mobile Telecom including deep understanding of telecom core networks.
- Strong knowledge of Core telecom networks (especially Packet Switched).
- Experienced with SSR based PGW (EPG/vEPG solution or Affirmed solutions)
- Good Understanding of Packet Core surrounding Nodes (PCRF, AAA, DNS)
- Good understanding of Diameter Interfaces & Error Codes is a plus
- Experience in using various Network Tools & ability to analyze traces Familiar with 5G Core, Virtualization and the Cloud concepts and hands on Virtual Nodes is a plus
- Familiar with Ericsson EIN (MPBN) solution, especially Juniper SRX&EX and Extreme SW is a plus
- Good knowledge of Ericsson CEE solution or Openstack is a plus
- Good knowledge of Ericsson UDC solution is a plus
- Advanced troubleshooting skills on relevant platforms
- Three to five years working experience in relevant technology
