About the role

The Investment Operations Analyst has a strong business acumen with technical knowledge and works in operations to handle trade execution, process settlements and managing daily funding of our asset classThe Investment Ops Analyst works with members of Asset Management, Finance and Capital Markets to help keep daily operations running smoothly with high impact and is integral in shaping and scaling the capabilities of the Investment Operations Team .

What you’ll do

      • Process daily funding requests for origination of Unlock assets.    Manage all processes to verify assets needed for funding; initiate and generate draw requests to facility and partner with the Treasury team to release the funds to our title company. 
      • Process and manage daily settlements for assets that have been repaid; process settlements to investors 
      • Run batch processes to manage and monitor weekly asset valuations and monthly credit changes for our customers. 
      • Process and manage finance related daily operations for Unlock’s originations and secondary transactions with investors; this includes Trade Ticketing & Settlement, Collateral Review & Movement, Daily asset fundings, Investor Reporting and ad-hoc investor data and analysis requests. 
      • Partner with colleagues in Asset Management, Capital Markets, Post Closing teams to gather requirements, discuss proposals, and develop/implement the solutions to improve process and capabilities. 
      • Develop and maintain tools and dashboards used to streamline different business functions and analysesProvide feedback to senior technical developers to improve existing workflows. 
      • Ultimately handle the monitoring and reporting of collateral custody statuses and be the point of liaison with our document custodial partners to coordinate the handling and transfer of asset collatera

What we’re looking for

    •  

      • 5+ years of professional experience in a Finance Operations role or Middle Office Position 
      • High degree of proficiency in Excel 
      • Passion and ability for self-automation using some combination of Excel Macros 
      • Strong oral and written communication skills 
      • Strong attention to detail 
      • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
      • Preferred Qualifications 

        • Advanced experience with SQL or other technical tools such as VBA, Python and Tableau 
        • Experience in Finance, MBS, Real Estate, Lending, Trading, and/or Treasury 
        • Worked in an Operations capacity on a Trading Floor, Asset Manager, and/or Treasury function

Target base compensation is $90,000-100,000 annually. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Additionally, Unlock’s Total Rewards package is highly competitive, designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play – such as 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options and paid time off.
