Job Summary
Our client, a boutique financial services firm, is seeking a Investment Management Associate to support their investment team. This newly created role will assist with investment transactions, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making to ensure clients receive exceptional service. This position is ideal for a professional who understands financial markets, thinks critically, and can make informed trading decisions beyond just execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute securities trades to manage investment accounts and raise cash as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate portfolios, making recommendations for adjustments and rebalancing.
- Assist with portfolio research and implementing best practices under the guidance of the Director of Investment Management.
- Run brokerage and advisory reports to track portfolio performance and client goals.
- Maintain and update client investment accounts with accuracy and efficiency.
- Support new investment account openings as needed.
Qualifications & Preferences
- Active Series 7 license required (or must obtain within 60 days).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in trading, investment operations, or portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of financial data and the ability to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and investment reporting tools.
- Ability to think independently, make informed decisions, and solve problems proactively.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 (dependent on experience).
- Profit-sharing bonus program.
