We’re looking for an Inventory Control & Quality Assurance Manager to establish and maintain robust operational processes that support the hardware supply chain of our in-person payments business. In this role, you’ll oversee QA and inventory control practices across our global network of 3PLs, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability.
As our operations expand, both in volume and complexity, you’ll help structure and standardize inventory management across a growing footprint of seven (and counting) global warehouses. This includes managing payment terminals and related accessories, as well as evolving value-added services within our logistics flows. You’ll develop SOPs, lead audits, conduct root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement to keep our supply chain operating at the highest standard.
This role will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Procurement, Finance, and third-party warehouse providers, helping translate operational insights into standardized practices across all regions. You’ll be stepping into a function that is undergoing significant professionalization, with the opportunity to shape and elevate the way we run physical operations at a global level.
What you’ll do
Help us to further professionalize our QA and control capabilities. We’ve established some foundation around inventory control and quality assurance, but many areas are still in early stages or haven’t been built yet. This role will be taking things to the next level: designing what good looks like, rolling it out globally, and setting a new standard for how we operate at scale.
Process Development and Standardization: Develop, maintain, and roll out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Adyen Supply Chain team, 3PL operators and suppliers, specifically covering inventory control and quality assurance processes globally. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Management: Investigate quality issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Monitor and provide insights on supplier and warehouse performance metrics to respective teams. Ensure that SOPs are adjusted based on findings.
Audit and Oversight: Conduct regular on-site audits at warehouses to ensure adherence to SOPs, inventory control, and quality processes. Assess operational compliance, identify risks or gaps, and provide clear recommendations and support continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, train the team on audit procedures and best practices, empowering them to confidently conduct audits and adopt a proactive auditing approach during their visits
Stakeholder Collaboration with Diplomacy: Act as a key point of contact for warehouse control or quality-related issues, working closely with various teams (commercial, product, engineers, finance and suppliers) to resolve problems, address customer escalations, and provide insightful reporting to leadership. Navigate stakeholder relationships with diplomacy while maintaining firmness to ensure adherence to standards and drive process improvements.
Who You Are
- You have 6-10 years of experience in hardware warehouse operations. With deep knowledge of inventory control, QA practices, including experience managing 3PL relationships.
- You have the ability to develop and implement warehousing SOPs, conduct internal audits, and drive continuous improvement.
- You have experience conducting root cause analysis, driving CAPA, and leading cross-functional investigations.
- Demonstrated experience working on international projects, including travel to global sites for on the ground coordination and oversight.
- You possess strong communication and influencing skills and can navigate relationships with diplomacy while maintaining firmness to achieve desired outcomes.
You’re fluent in using metrics and dashboards to monitor operational performance and.translating them into insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making
