Intrinsic Reliability Engineer
The Team:
The Intrinsic Reliability (iRel) Group is responsible for ensuring Product/Process Lifetime Robustness. This is achieved by investigating the intrinsic reliability of semiconductor devices/circuits and sensors. The iRel Group is made of up of a range of engineering disciplines including electronics, physics and mathematics. The group is split across two locations namely, ADLK (Limerick, Ireland) and ADSV (San Jose, CA). The successful candidate will reside in ADLK.
The Position:
The position to be filled is for an Intrinsic Reliability Engineer with knowledge in semiconductor device physics and maths. The engineer will be responsible for de-risking processes from 350nm down to 5nm by performing empirical device reliability testing and simulating across multiple platforms.
Main responsibilities:
- Reliability testing (HCI, BTI, TDDB etc.) of semiconductor devices and circuits.
- Fresh and aging simulations of semiconductor devices and circuits.
- Transistor aging model development
- Collaboration with internal and external foundries.
- Collaboration with product teams to de-risk designs via device/circuit aging simulation.
- Attendance at industry leading device/circuit reliability conferences and adoption of industry State-of-the-Art best practices.
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or related field (minimum requirement).
- Experience of device/circuit simulation platforms (Cadence/SPICE/Spectre…) considered a bonus.
- Familiarity with transistor stress testing and aging model development considered a bonus.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
- Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential coupled with a demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and as part of a team.
