The Opportunity
As a SHE Intern, you will support the Oceanside SHE department to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a healthy work environment, and contribute to environmental sustainability efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact in the field of SHE. Examples of tasks may include:

Assist in the development and implementation of soft plastics and PPE recycling programs at our site.

Conduct research on best practices and innovative solutions for recycling soft plastics and PPE.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication and integration of recycling initiatives.

Monitor and analyze data related to recycling efforts to measure program success and identify improvement areas.

Educate and engage employees about the importance of recycling and sustainable practices.

Help organize and participate in sustainability-related events and outreach activities.

Document processes and create reports to track progress and share findings.
Who You Are:

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a degree program (Bachelor or Master) related to Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Management, or a related field.

Strong passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Proficient in Google Workspaces (Slides, Sheets, Chat, Drive, etc).
Preferred (but not mandatory) skills:
-
Previous experience or coursework in recycling, waste management, or SHE regulations and standards.

Technical details:
The start date for the internship is between the 1st and 16th of July 2025
The expected hourly rate range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Oceanside is $20 - $35. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Relocation benefits are not eligible for this position.
