Job Description

Become an essential part of SMG and join our Board Affairs team from May/June 2025 onward as our new Intern. The internship is planned for a duration of 6 to 12 months.

Board Affairs supports senior management in the preparation of meetings at the top decision-making level and in various exciting projects. In this position, you will gain insights in different areas of expertise through a broad range of tasks and close collaboration with different departments across SMG. Further, the position will give you direct insights into the decision-making process at Executive level as well as immediate proximity to the key decision-makers of the company. Hence, this is an excellent area to kick-start your career.

These are your tasks: 

• Support in the preparation, planning and coordination of Board of Directors meetings.
• Responsible for the preparation of Top Management Meetings (incl. participation in the meetings) and for coordinating the preparation of regular reportings.
• Support in the elaboration of presentations and other materials in close collaboration with different departments across SMG.
• Support of the Director Investor Relations in establishing the Investor Relations function and structures.
• Implementation of various ad-hoc tasks for the attention of the upper management as well as support & collaboration in various exciting projects.
   

Qualifications

This is what you bring to the table: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related fields 
• First relevant work experience (e.g., internships) in the field of Consulting, Strategy, Business Development, Finance, Project Management, or related fields is a plus.
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented, and precise way of working with a high attention to detail.
• Discretion when handling confidential information 
• High willingness to learn, optimistic charisma with a can-do mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
• An excellent command of English and German

• Flexibility to work regularly on-site in our office locations in Zurich or Fribourg
• Enthusiasm for digital business models
• Interest in working in a dynamic, international, and digital environment
