Job Description:
The intern will support the business in gathering functional and technical requirements related to Tribe’s assets and contribute to enhancing software applications through coding and testing. The role involves working with data and using it to generate value while assisting in code reviews and documentation.
The intern will assist in gathering requirements, contributing to functional and technical analysis, and supporting development and testing activities. Additional activities include helping to create project documentation, coordinating technical issues, and learning business rules, guidelines, and specifications provided by the Chapter Lead.
By gaining experience with the tools, applications, and processes used for software development, the intern will support the implementation of solutions aligned with technical documentation, specifications, and coding standards.
Your Key Activities:
- Assist in application development following ING Bank standards.
- Support an agile team in alignment with the solution design and enterprise architecture team.
- Help gather and document business requirements.
- Contribute to writing high-quality functional and technical documentation.
- Assist in implementing high-quality code and proposing optimizations in code design.
- Support the design, writing, and execution of Unit Tests and Functional Tests.
- Collaborate with the Release team for code versioning management.
- Help identify and resolve defects and bugs during the test phase.
- Assist in identifying and resolving production issues.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (Computer/Telecommunications).
- Basic knowledge or experience with programming languages/technologies such as Unix, Oracle SQL, and IBM DataStage.
- Interest in bug-fixing and code optimization.
- Strong teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and an approachable demeanor.
- Motivation to learn and grow in a data-driven environment.
