International Payroll Specialist

Overview:

Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, you will be part of a global payroll team within the Finance function, with team members spread globally.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily review and compute starters, leavers, fixed, and variable changes; accountability for checking payroll colleagues’ calculations prior to entry on to Cloudpay system and performing output checks/balances as appropriate

• Upload and reconciliation of WD interface files to Cloudpay (if applicable) 

• Process all non-integrated changes as applicable for key area of responsibility

• Escalate as necessary for missing data or interface/file feeds from internal MITEL upstream sources

• Create and running regular reports required for audit during payroll processing – INPUT VALIDATION BEFORE/AFTER UPLOAD ON Cloudpay during PROCESSING

• Payroll Control of the payroll drafts results including monthly reconciliation

• Provide final information for production and VALIDATE of Banking templates for UK Payrolls, request approval from approvers and facilitate payments to be raised such as fund request communication

• The main focus will be UK Region

• The Workday HR system feeds the CloudPay payroll system through both overnight interface and through the completion of template data for absences and overtime adjustments. This role will review the interface data and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll

• Wide-ranging benefits such as various pension schemes and health benefits impact the payroll for which in-depth knowledge is required

• For all UK entities we currently have a P11D benefits reporting requirement annually

• The success of this role is reliant on close working relationships with HR Business Partners and Country Finance management, so being a team player is essential

• It is envisaged this role will initially work core hours within the UK time zone – 14.30pm to 22.00pm. This may be reviewed at a later date

Requirements:

• Proven track record of International Payroll Processing – at least 3 years' experience

• UK Payroll legislation & P11D 

• Benefits knowledge -especially knowledge of salary-sacrifice pensions – is essential

• Confident in Microsoft – Excel, Word, etc

• IT literate with the ability to use multiple external systems in addition to the payroll solution – eg Pensions reporting portals

• CloudPay Payroll systems knowledge

• Excellent written and verbal English language skills

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• Workday HR knowledge

• Reconciling the payroll journal – an appreciation of Payroll accounting requirements

• A thorough understanding of audit requirements

• Other country knowledge – EMEA specific
