Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
• Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
• Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
• Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
• Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.

Join us a Barclays Internal Audit Analyst, US Markets- Equity – AVP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide independent and reliable assurance to executive management and the Board on governance, risk management, and control effectiveness. In this role, you will contribute to audit planning and execution, risk assessment, control evaluation, and issue resolution. You’ll deliver high-quality audit observations and support the development of actionable recommendations to improve business processes.

To be successful as an Internal Audit Analyst, US Markets- Equity – AVP, you should have experience with:

• Investment Banking and Markets experience
• Previous auditing or financial services experience
• Proven written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Enthusiastic team player, committed to achieving team objectives

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA or CISA
• Experience with data analytics, coding (e.g., Python, SQL), or machine learning techniques
• Knowledge of financial products and services
• Understanding of the regulatory environment
• Audit experience in mid-to-large organizations or financial services familiarity through non-audit roles

This role is located in New York, New York

Minimum Salary: $100,000

Maximum Salary: $150,000
