Overview

Work as a member of the manufacturing team to perform functions as product and assembly process documentation, problem solving, and other duties as assigned.

Semester

  • Ability to begin work this summer and possibly into the 2025 - 2026 school year.

Professional QualificationsEducation

Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in English, Communication, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a closely related field.  A junior status or higher in college preferred.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing facility, research, or academic research setting is desirable but not necessary.

General

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to self-educate when necessary.
  • Demonstrated creativity and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and under others' direction.
  • Attention to detail in both task execution and documentation.
  • Team player. Enjoys and works well with other people in a team environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.

Position ResponsibilitiesSpecific

  • Shadowing production assembly to assist in the creation of assembly documentation
  • Work with technical writing team on adapting current instructions into manufacturing execution system (MES)
  • Support our Lean Six Sigma improvement projects
  • Own transfer and revision control of process documentation
  • Assist engineers with a variety of documentation tasks


General

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Software training will be provided, as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
