You'll join a collaborative team of driven professionals dedicated to sourcing the best suppliers, forging win-win partnerships, and leveraging cutting-edge technology to unlock cost savings and operational excellence.
Responsibilities

The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Intern reports into the Quality and Manufacturing team and will assist in the different production phases of Silicon Labs products at our suppliers and manufacturing partners. You will work with cross functional teams like Supplier Management, Product Test Engineering, Planning, Packaging Engineering, etc to ensure high quality products are delivered to our customers. You will work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on quality, environmental, social, governance requirements or requests, as well as support in product reliability and quality issues and monitoring.

Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to achieve high product and process quality in compliance to Silicon Labs requirements and industry standards and requests, embracing the continuous improvement mindset

Support activities to achieve supplier quality key performance indicator goals and targets as well as our supply chain environmental, social, governance initiatives

Assist SQE in comprehensive supplier gap analysis and lessons learned sharing and benchmarking across suppliers and partners in tandem with performing periodic on-site or virtual supplier audits to verify suppliers’ quality system, process control and effectiveness

Engage in continuous improvement, defect reduction, and cost reduction activities by working closely with suppliers, supplier managers, product test engineering and product quality engineering to coordinate change management, product qualifications and ongoing reliability and quality monitors

Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) to support analysis and review of abnormality material hold, manufacturing deviations and evaluate risks, and support the quality incident process

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
