The Role

Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the United Kingdom immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom. 

This role will be a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract starting in July 2025 and will be paid London living wage.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is a major studio responsible for blockbuster films such as Spider-Man, Jumanji and Ghostbusters, and legendary TV Shows such as The Crown, Breaking Bad and Outlander. This internship sits in the Regional marketing & research team of the Distribution division for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), responsible for film and television content distribution.  

Our EMEA Distribution Marketing team works with research and alongside Sales to help promote and customise the series/features content being pitched to buyers across our territories, ensuring teams have the most relevant materials, and build activation plans directly with partners and retailers for key series and releases.  

This includes being product experts, supporting with B2B marketing materials (pitching and communications), running events and B2C post sales marketing.  

This internship will be based in London, and will work with local teams in the following territories; UK, France, Iberia, Italy, Germany/ Switzerland/Austria, Nordics and Benelux team markets, Poland, Central Europe, Middle East, Greece and Africa and also liaises with our LA based global team.  

What you'll do: 

  • Assist the team in building presentations for key internal, external meetings and pitches.  

  • Gather information from different territories for regional office and US office  

  • Day to day contact for asset enquiries from territories including promos, artwork, social media, decks etc across features and series  

  • Aid in the coordination of special events and screenings  

  • Crafting B2B assets including e-blasts and LinkedIn posts  

  • Work alongside the team on ad hoc projects including brainstorm sessions, creating email newsletters and planning meetings  

  • Briefing and liaising with agencies for marketing initiatives including Presentation Decks, PR, Social-Media and Creative Campaigns  

  • Tracking/sharing competitor and internal best practices  

  • Build and update internal tracking spreadsheets  

  • Working with Research, Sales Planning and Territory teams on bespoke projects  

What you have: 

  • Organisation skills  

  • Are a self-motivated, thoughtful teammate who is able to show initiative when working alone, as well as with others. 

  • Flexible with the ability manager and prioritise multiple tasks at once. 

  • Creative flair and passion  

  • Demonstrable analytical and numeracy skills are desirable  

  • Excellent writing skills with first class attention to detail  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Task and results orientated  

  • MS Office Suite required, particularly PowerPoint and Excel  

  • Photoshop and Canva, In design skills is desirable  

  • A strong interest in Film and Television and understanding/experience with social media platforms is a plus! 

What you'll learn: 

Over the course of the placement, you'll gain ownership of crucial administrative functions, and will be provided exposure and experience in Creative planning, B2B, Internal Communications and Events.  

You will also acquire notable knowledge of the distribution of TV and Feature Film marketing and understand how each team in the department works.  

Alongside working with multiple teams, you will attain experience working with international teams, and develop marketing knowledge and skills in a fast paced industry.
