Our internship program is a full-time, paid, 10-week program during the Summer of 2025. Applicants should be based in the Chicago area for the duration of the program to participate in our hybrid work environment at our Chicago headquarters. Applicants should also currently be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with a graduation date in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.
What to expect during your internship:
- Onboarding Training: Our onboarding program will share all the information you need to be successful during your internship at Strata. You will learn about our mission, our history, our products & services, and our people!
- Meaningful Work: You’ll receive a challenging project to complete during your internship. The project will give you a running start into the exciting world of software that is positively impacting some of our nation’s most critical industries. We hope this work inspires you to expand into a full-time career. Before summer is over, you will present your work to our Executive Leadership Team!
- Networking: You will have many opportunities to network across all areas of the business. Whether it’s through one-on-one coffee chats or lunch & learns, you will meet many of the people who fuel our mission!
- Culture: Throughout the summer, we host a variety of social and volunteering activities to help you truly experience our amazing culture and working in downtown Chicago.
How you’ll make an impact during your internship:
- Enhance the LMS user experience: Audit the current Absorb LMS dashboard and identify opportunities for improved usability, navigation, and visual design.
- Streamline content organization: Reorganize content and titles on the LMS homepage to ensure users can quickly locate and access the materials they need.
- Optimized dashboard design: Collaborate with stakeholders to create a clean, intuitive layout that aligns with company branding and user preferences.
- Implement feedback loops: Gather insights from employees to identify pain points and use this feedback to refine the LMS interface.
- Support training and onboarding: Develop user guides or quick-reference materials to familiarize employees with updates and maximize engagement.
- Leverage LMS analytics: Use data-driven insights to prioritize improvements that will have the greatest impact on user satisfaction and learning outcomes.
- Foster collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the dashboard meets both technical and operational needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with graduation date in Winter 2025 or Spring 2026, in instructional design, education, training, eLearning design, Learning Systems Management
- Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred
- Video production and editing experience preferred
- Familiarity with adult education techniques and principles
- Familiarity with instructional design concepts
- Experience working in Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia
- Detail-oriented with strong editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects
- Interested in pursuing a career in Learning Technology Management or Learning & Development

The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. We are truly a hybrid environment with all team members experiencing the flexibility to work from home.
