Key Responsibilities:

This program provides the opportunity to work with the Advanced Technology (AT) innovation team and and make meaningful impact through challenging projects.

Vet, validate, and refine unmet clinical needs and new product opportunities through synthesis of primary and secondary research.

Contribute to clinical development strategy, rationalizing clinical and mechanistic endpoints needed to demonstrate at each milestone
-
Contribute to understanding of commercial viability of new product/market opportunities, including but not limited to analysis of population/market size, risk vs. benefit, value proposition, positioning in patient care path, competitive landscape, reimbursement/pricing, etc

Support identification of technical feasibility questions and de-risking of early-stage device concepts, including prototyping, bench testing, and computational simulation.
Education and Experience:

PhD in BioMedical Engineering / BioDesign or Doctorate of Medicine
Qualifications:
-
Must be enrolled in an accredited 4-year university throughout the duration of the internship, graduating Dec 2025 or later.

Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 scale).

Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.
Additional Skills:

Comfortable working in laboratory environment. Hands-on and highly motivated. Able to follow procedures, perform testing and clearly convey data results.

Strong interest in pursuing relevant industry experience. Interest in the healthcare and medical devices industry is a plus.

Provide documentation support and complete written reports.

Experience conducting scientific literature review and synthesis.

Experience conducting informational interviews with clinicians (i.e. key opinion leaders), patients, and other stakeholders

Ability to synthesize a variety of research sources to inform development and refinement of a business case.

Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 to $72,000 (highly experienced).
