As an intern in our Global Supply Chain team in Tilburg, you will have an opportunity to work cross-functionally with sales and manufacturing operations and assess challenges formulating action plans with key stakeholders. By the end of the assignment, you will have gained detailed insight into the medical device supply chain.
How you will make an impact:
• Collaborate with departments such as, sales, and customer service to assess needs and perform actions required, across the entire supply chain continuum seeking to manage product flow.
• Optimize inventory in consignment making sure products are properly stored and control expiration dates to ensure a correct product delivery to our customers.
• Help identify and resolve supply chain issues specifically in the Inventory Control part of the chain.
• Perform analysis to improve supply chain operations being able to understand the current state and a suggesting a possible solution to improve processes.
Functional experience may vary by student, and would be focused within one or many of these supply chain functions (Supply Planning, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation or Trade Compliance).
What you’ll need (Required):
• Be an Enrolled University student (Bachelor / Master) for the duration of the internship project ideally of Supply Chain Management, Applied Engineering, or related Engineering discipline or any other related field, interested in medical device industry OR if graduated from university already, able to sign a learning agreement with the university for the internship.
• Completely comfortable working in English.
• Full-time (40h/week) availability for minimum 6 months starting ASAP on an on-site regime with flexible working hours and home office availability. Our office location is Tilburg.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Communication and relationship-building skills with team spirit.
• Must have organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment, being able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel experience desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the region.
• Any other internship experience in a similar environment is highly appreciated, but not required.
