As the Accounting Intern, you will work under the supervision of the Finance and Accounting staff while participating in various daily and/or monthly tasks within the Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Tax, and Assurance and Compliance areas. You will gain knowledge relating to accounting and financial reporting software and may assist with special projects as assigned. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Assist in the solicitation of Paymode to existing vendors that receive paper checks. Send letters to vendors requesting updated W-9s and updates system for changes. Assist the Accounts Payable team in processing images and invoices submitted by Company service center locations. Assist with vendor Tax Payer Identification Number (TIN) matching. Assist General Ledger team in preparing select month-end balance sheet reconciliations. Assist the Assurance and Compliance team with various compliance audits. Assist in the preparation and filing of unclaimed property notification letters. Learn to build reports using Company software/system(s). Participate in multi-functional cross-training in various areas of the Support Center.

For this role, you must be actively pursuing or have recently obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a Concentration in Accounting.
