We are looking for an Intermediate PHP WordPress Engineer to join our team.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on WordPress
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and the WordPress Codex
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind)
- Experience with MySQL databases, including database design and optimization
- Good understanding of REST APIs and AJAX
- Knowledge of OOP principles and familiarity with design patterns
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Familiarity with TYPO3, ACF, NinjaForms, and WooCommerce development
- Experience with Google Merchant integration and related e-commerce tools
- Understanding of HTML variations (e.g., HAML, VOLT, XML)
- Knowledge of composer and package management tools
- Basic understanding of frameworks like Laravel and Vue.js
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting and documenting requirements
- Collaborate with the team and mentor junior developers
- Develop and deliver applications in accordance with established standards
- Implement code refactoring and optimization techniques
- Follow the Gitflow workflow, merge source code, and resolve merge conflicts effectively
- Research and reuse existing technical solutions to optimize development time
- Create flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and other visualizations to communicate processes
- Estimate development tasks using different techniques
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Describe, prioritize, and assign tasks to team members
- Perform unit testing, write simple automation scripts, and collect code coverage
- Maintain and upgrade existing systems and ensure long-term performance
- Develop and deliver projects from scratch with minimal supervision
- Collect and share best practices of development with team members
