The role
We are offering a role that embodies a challenging, rewarding, and multifaceted accounting career. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will, ensure accuracy, compliance, and holistic financial guidance for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your daily responsibilities will be robust and varied. From crafting comprehensive financial statements to the meticulous preparation of tax returns for varied entities, your role will be pivotal in driving financial clarity. This role will test and enhance your analytical skills, sharpening your prowess in the multifarious aspects of accounting.
These are some of the things you’ll do:
- Prepare special purpose and general purpose financial statements for companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Prepare tax returns for all entities
- Prepare Business and Instalment Activity Statements
- Involvement with tax planning for clients
- Reconciling accounting files (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks etc.)
- Business advisory work including due diligence engagements, valuation engagements and transaction assignments
- Liaising with the ATO

About you
We're searching for an accountant with 2 to 5 years of experience in professional services. Your previous roles have likely exposed you to preparing financial statements and handling various tax returns. A hallmark of your approach is client-orientation. You understand that each client's needs can be different, and you demonstrate an ability to adjust based on those unique requirements. Flexibility in dealing with varied situations is an added advantage.
When challenges arise, you tend to approach them positively, seeking ways to address and overcome them. This can-do attitude highlights your proactive nature. Consistency and a keen eye for detail in your work are essential. This ensures that clients can rely on the quality of your outputs, recognising that you prioritise accuracy in your tasks. Finally a familiarity with accounting software, including Xero and MYOB, is a requisite.
To sum it up, we're looking for a reliable accountant who brings a mix of experience, adaptability, and proficiency to the role.
