The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions.
- Leverage your expertise in APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud technologies to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability across the organization.
- Responsible for conducting analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and developing architecture baselines.
- Duties may include providing research and assistance with implementation of community policies and guidance.
- Support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.
- Work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
- Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
- Responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.
- Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
- Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to integrate applications, systems, and services across enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with software developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange between applications.
- Configure and optimize middleware, APIs, and communication protocols to enable efficient data flow.
- Analyze system architectures, data models, and workflows to design secure and scalable integration solutions.
- Define integration architecture and document data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Develop and implement data transformation, mapping, and validation processes to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Monitor and manage API performance, ensuring availability and scalability of APIs across environments.
- Document APIs and integration points to ensure clear communication with development teams and end-users.
- Develop integration solutions using cloud-based platforms like AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps, and Google Cloud Functions.
- Optimize and troubleshoot middleware applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Develop and execute integration test plans to validate data integrity, functionality, and performance across integrated systems.
- Conduct unit, functional, and regression testing of integrated solutions to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify, debug, and resolve integration errors or inconsistencies in data or system behavior.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance integration processes to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Implement security best practices in integration solutions, including data encryption, access controls, and secure communication protocols.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including integration architectures, API specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Understanding of DoD IT security protocols and requirements
- Experience with designing and implementing data integration solutions across heterogeneous systems.
- Proficiency with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and techniques for data transformation and migration.
- Hands-on experience with integration and middleware platforms
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages
- Understanding of messaging and communication protocols such as: HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST, FTP, SFTP, and WebSockets.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles to ensure the security and privacy of integrated data.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective integration services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Logic Apps).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Favorable if you have:
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, Dell Boomi Developer, AWS/Azure Certifications).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
