Afar is currently seeking an Integrated Marketing Manager to join the Sales & Marketing team. The primary role of the Marketing Manager is to develop, package, and communicate creative and results-driven marketing ideas that generate revenue. The Marketing Manager will collaborate across various departments (Sales, Ad Operations, Creative Services, Social Media, Email, Editorial, etc.) to develop and package campaigns and programs and will partner with the sales team to position, communicate, and sell the ideas. As part of the pre-sale Marketing team, this person will also be tasked with developing brand materials, promotional emails, collateral, and various sales tools to support revenue goals. 


An ideal candidate has experience working in a pre-sales marketing or strategy for a media company or agency. You are solutions-oriented and creative with the ability to connect marketing strategies to business objectives—finding ways to communicate strategically and creatively to clients.


Primary Responsibilities:


-Ideation and strategic proposal writing: Develop high impact content marketing and media campaigns for advertisers across digital, print, mobile, video, audio, social, and event/experiential platforms

-Act as an expert and resource for assigned categories/accounts, including development of sales opportunities, insights, trend analysis, etc.; Develop and communicate learnings and ideas to sales and marketing teams.

-Develop industry partnerships that will enhance Afar’s marketing solutions and capabilities

-Partner with the Marketing Activations and Ad Operations teams to understand campaign performance and establish best practices for pitching, pricing, and packaging marketing solutions 

-Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Activations teams, ensuring consistency in pre-to post-sale transition.

-Create materials, presentations, sell sheets, and other communication tools that help position and sell Afar, and our marketing solutions, to the advertising, media, and travel industries 



Requirements/Qualifications:


-Minimum 4+ years of integrated marketing experience

-Self-starter who sets priorities, takes on new projects and drives progress with full accountability

-Strong marketing/proposal writing skills, including clear and concise oral and written communication and ability to strategically develop ideas

-Comfortable working closely with and presenting to clients/agencies

-Strong knowledge of current digital, social, podcast, and mobile advertising platforms and ability to implement into everyday work

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to work independently and co-exist within a team

-Hands-on experience with digital platforms and web technologies preferred

-Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote, and Microsoft Office Suite; Asana a plus
