As a Territory Manager, you will serve as the main liaison between the company and our agent network by evaluating their performance, promoting products/services, monitoring the insurance market for reactions to pricing, and analyzing agency profitability. You will also support pipeline management by monitoring agency submissions and renewals, collaborating with underwriters to address pricing or service challenges, coordinating with analysts to identify prospects, and planning stewardship meetings to facilitate business development and ensure account submissions. Finally, you’ll help provide training and education to internal and external stakeholders on products and services offered by the company.
This field position will primarily support the Houston region, which could include the surrounding metro areas of Houston, Bryan/College Station, and Beaumont. Please expect in-state travel regularly (over 50%). A company vehicle will be provided.
Responsibilities & QualificationsIn this role, you can expect to:

Manage agency relationships by serving as the primary contact to develop agency business plans, evaluate agency performance, and liaison between agency and Texas Mutual's business divisions.

Monitor the insurance industry environment, analyze and forecast market trends, gather and report market intelligence including market shifts, compensation rates, pricing, and product offerings.

Collaborate with management and underwriting to develop, evaluate, and execute both strategic and operational agent/broker business plans.

Analyze agency profit and loss information to identify problems and develop plans for improvements; make recommendations for agency tier promotion or demotion.

Produce a pipeline of submissions to assist underwriting in solidifying new business opportunities.

Provide TXM product training and education.
It is required that you:

Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.

Have experience with insurance operations to be considered for the following available levels:
-
Minimum of 2 years: Intermediate Territory Manager
-
Minimum of 4 years: Senior Territory Manager

Must be willing to travel in-state.

Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver's license.
It would be great if you:

Have a CPCU, CIC, ARM or other recognized insurance designation.

Have knowledge of underwriting or marketing workers' compensation insurance.
Texas Mutual Pay Transparency
The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $75,120.45 - $123,511.50 Per Year

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
