The Position:
We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer / Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop engaging learning experiences that align with organizational goals. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to create high-quality instructional materials and manage projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop interactive e-learning modules, simulations, and assessments using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline.
- Ensure consistency in instructional approaches and design standards across projects.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate technical content into engaging e-learning experiences.
- Design multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and interactive components, to enhance learner engagement.
- Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure the functionality, usability, and accessibility of learning materials.
- Stay updated on trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and e-learning development.
- Manage tasks and projects, overseeing the content development process.
- Analyze learning needs and goals to design effective instructional materials.
- Apply instructional design models, learning theories, and multimedia tools to create engaging learning experiences.
- Ensure learning experiences are accessible and inclusive for all learners.
- Document design processes and gather learner feedback for continuous improvement.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 – 3 years' experience in instructional design and multimedia development, focusing on digital learning materials.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
- Understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and learning assessment techniques.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese (additional languages are a plus).
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM standards.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and multimedia production techniques.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) design and applying design thinking principles.
- Ability to write effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
