In generally, the person holding this position leads our commercial efforts in Asia. With the acquisition of Cacique in Brazil and the inauguration of our Vietnam factory, ILD Coffee Vietnam, LDC is one of the largest soluble coffee producers with an annual capacity up to 50,000 tons of freeze, agglomerated, spray dried instant coffee and coffee extract.

This role will focus on key account development & management, market expansion, and sales strategies to drive significant volumes of soluble coffee in an effective and efficient manner, and, aligned with instant coffee platform strategy and expectations.

Job Description

Work location: 

This job is available for candidates living either in Vietnam, or Indonesia, or Malaysia or Singapore. The work location can be in office located in any of these countries.

Job responsibilities

Asia Business development & instant coffee marketing strategy:

Key Account Management & Open New Market

  • In line with the global instant coffee strategy, develop and maintain strong relationships with major clients.
  • Strategically manage key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability through tailored solutions and services.
  • Areas to focus: all-in Asia (Vietnam, Malaysia, Indo, Myanmar, Singapore, etc…)

Market Analysis:

  • Market intelligence: hold ownership of research data and gather market information on competition, prices, supply, demand, trends, competitive landscape in Asia region to improve information quality for strategy decisions.
  • Utilize insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Formulating Sales plans, commercial budgets and forecasts
  • Responsible for LDC Instant Coffee Sales volume regionally
  • Develop effective commercial tools to identify new market opportunities, reach new accounts and managing relationships with key buyers regionally which includes pricing, negotiation and concluding contracts

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track sales performance against targets, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on market conditions, competitive activity, and sales performance for senior management.

Support and Internal Processes:

  • Close collaboration with global commercial team to ensure consistency across regions and knowledge sharing.
  • Due to geographical proximity, support global customers’ visits to LDC plants
  • Build close relationship with plant management and develop strong knowledge of the production assets.

Qualifications

Experience 

  • From 7-10 years and above, of similar commercial experience, if not in instant coffee at least in food ingredients, sugar, spices, food flavors, milk, coconut milk etc
  • Strong understand of the market, commercial skills, and client management.

Skills

  • Instant coffee knowledge preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and execute the business plan
  • Customer Management and negotiation skills / contacts within the instant coffee industry 
  • Knowledge of common business software tools (Microsoft office, Power BI…)
  • Strong sense of business acumen
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptive to change, ability to work under pressure
  • Energy, enthusiasm, self- motivation, assertiveness and emotional intelligence
  • Strong sense of business acumen

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or MBA.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
  • Working knowledge of other Asian languages would be a strong plus
