Job Description:
The Parts Sales Representative position is responsible for selling products and services to new and existing customers and translating customer needs into solutions and services which benefit the customer and the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive product sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain working relationships to develop sales leads.
- Act as a technical and general business resource for customers and internal department resources.
- Prepare pricing and quotations by applying a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs (price sensitivity, lead time or quantity-based pricing) and buying behaviors to present competitive quotes.
- Manage sales pipeline by proactively following up on quotes to obtain information related to quotes not converted to orders and supplier competition.
- Coordinate with major equipment, modifications, and service teams to create customer centric solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent support, consultative services, and effective presentations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer purchase and service requirements are being met.
- Identify adjacent service opportunities to develop sales leads for new equipment, machine modifications, service opportunities and audit visits
- Establish and maintain communication with other Parts Sales Representatives and assist with customers as needed.
- Maintain files, records, and logs, customer relationship management database (CRM), and other documentation pertinent to the function.
- Expand existing knowledge base of all product lines and associated equipment, including legacy equipment.
- Utilize ERP programs for entry of quotes, orders, Return Goods Authorizations (RGA), credits, order expediting, order status and locating parts.
- Participate in customer visits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree and one year of inside sales experience, or a high school degree/diploma and three years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and implement sales goals.
- Effectively utilize negotiation and presentation skills.
- Awareness and working application of contracts
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Bi-lingual skills are a plus
- Ability to travel up to 10%

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not directly supervise other team members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by air or car occasionally
