As the Enterprise Program Management Summer intern you will have the opportunity to join an exciting team that manages programs that span the entire MetLife enterprise. As an intern in Enterprise Program Management (EPM), you will be able to make meaningful contributions and build strong skills that will last a lifetime.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working on a project team that will either drive an ongoing acquisition, or a divestiture, or a corporate transformation initiative.
- Business analysis in support of these initiatives
- Learning about the Mergers and Acquisitions lifecycle and the Lifecyle of a transformation program
- The project team will train you in project management tools and rigor and will seek your support in the following areas:
- Tracking overall program status
- Engaging in workstream management
- Tracking risk and issues
- Developing leadership updates
- Assisting in practice and playbook development
The internship is a paid 10-week program designed to give undergraduates interested in business and finance valuable "hands-on" experience in a real-world business setting. Interns benefit from on-the-job training, business education programs, online development tools and a culture that encourages continuing education. You will have the opportunity to participate in social activities and networking events.
Desired Skills/Interests:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence and demonstrate initiative to take on responsibilities
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a cross-functional team setting
- Rising Junior or Senior students actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management, Finance, Economics, Engineering and Accounting
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office out of 200 Park Ave, New York, NY.
About the MetLife Team: This role is within the Global Technology Organization (GTO) on the Global Business Solutions Team.
- The Global Business Solutions team works to deliver enterprise solutions at scale with agility, quality, and efficiency through Process Excellence, Enterprise Program Mgmt., Global Operations Support Center, Business Continuity, Crisis Mgmt. Global Procurement.
