Description:
GTO Business Controls, Technology is seeking a highly motivated Technology Risk and Controls Intern to join our team and collaborate closely with technology stakeholders and other control functions, including Global Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit functions, managing technology risk and implementing effective controls. The ideal candidate will have a built-in background in technology concepts with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
This role reports to the AVP, Technology - Business Controls and will support Global Technology, Global Security and Data & Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data gathering and analysis
  • Building Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NFRA) templates and workbooks
  • Reviewing Technology Policies, Standards, and Procedures
  • Participate in team meetings


Key Skills:

  • Initiative-taking individual with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of software, hardware, networking, data, and cybersecurity
  • Quantitative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must love working with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Pursuing Technical Degree (Rising Junior/Senior)

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, based out of our Cary, NC location.
About the MetLife Team: This role is within the Global Technology Organization (GTO) on the Global Business Controls Team.

  • The Global Business Controls team works to manage GTO risk framework in support of enterprise risk management policies, including operational risk, business controls and vendor management capabilities
