The CIO for Technology team’s mission is to provide CommBank with a technology advantage in the global market. To achieve this goal, the team executes initiatives to help our organisation innovate across every squad, support engineers with AI, keep our finger on the pulse of technology trends and grow technology and innovation across Australia.
Your impact and contribution
You will support and lead the management of the innovation pipeline, including reporting and financial management, collaborating with stakeholders to drive strategic projects. Designed to support the Group's Technology Strategy, these initiatives help drive innovation and strategically aligned “big bets” where the Bank needs it most.

Your responsibilities will include

Innovation Pipeline Management: Establish and oversee a comprehensive innovation pipeline across the Group, collaborating with diverse business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to innovation.

Innovation Idea Management: Own and manage an internal crowdsourcing platform to encourage innovation across the Group. This will include the setup and configuration of channels and management of the platform.

Reporting: Assist with preparing regular reports, presentations, and updates on project progress and outcomes.

Financial Management: Assist with managing the finances of the program by overseeing budgeting, expenses, and financial reporting.

Stakeholder Management: Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, global technology partners and service providers to develop positive working relationships.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have

Experience in Banking and/or Technology companies in a strategic, technical or commercial role.

Experience in effective and disciplined Project Management.

Sound organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to achieve deadlines and prioritise.

Keen interest technology and innovation.

Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Graduate level qualifications required.

Experience in managing financial ledgers is preferred but not required.

Experience with HTML and CSS is preferred but not required.
