Injection Molding Set-up Tech 3rd (Maintenance Operator) – Moorpark, CA

We have an opportunity for an Injection Molding Set-Up Tech to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will be responsible for all aspects of the injection mold process including changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment.

You will:

• Operate machines, start up and shutdowns, perform machine adjustments and maintain all equipment to meet Safety and Quality requirements
•  Set-up and process all molding machines to the optimum conditions, and make sure the machines are operating under validated operating parameters.
• Ensure all department procedures are understood and followed.
• Assist operators in processing and troubleshooting.
• Ensure that P. Ms are performed routinely on molds, molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Direct and perform mold changeovers and establish change over cycle time sheets and process sheets
• Ability to perform special projects and assignments.
• Participate in Process Management Teams and LEAN initiatives.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with department personnel and all support functions (Quality, Tool Room (Mold Shop) and Maintenance
• Lead the shift and report shift performance in the absence of the Team Leader i.e. downtime, production, scrap
• Participate in all training programs.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as required
• Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Group Lead and Manager.
   

Key Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma
•  Two plus years of Injection Molding processing experience on presses ranging from 50 to 1500 ton.
• Experience with hot runner systems.
• Must understand machine controls and set points.
• Ability to troubleshoot processes and perform root cause.
• Knowledge of processing different types of resins.
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of hand tools.
• Must be willing to rotate 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay range will be from $27.00 to $32.00 DOE. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Hours: 3rd shift 10:00 p.m. to 6:40 a.m.
