Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Industry & Technology Development Team is part of the Science & Technology department of the business area Refractory, Abrasives and Construction.
By optimising conventional processes and testing of new technologies, this position supports the RAC organisation to ensure the product portfolio remains competitive, innovative, cost-effective and sustainable.
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

Contribute to the development of new processes or products, from pilot to industrial plant.
-
Select and evaluate the industrial route, in order to reduce the time to market and capex cost.

Contribute to implement the technical strategies for new sustainable processes including design and utilisation of pilot facility and equipment
-
Contribute to the demand of external financing,
-
Support to optimise conventional processes using brand new methodologies as well as support around existing methodologies and subjects
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIE

Plans, organises and participates in industrial trials.

Writes reports of different actions: Visits, trials, studies.

Secures strong interactions with the S&T, engineering and industrial processes of IMERYS.

Contributes transversally within the RAC Business Area and possibly to the other Business Areas.

Cares for adequate interaction with potential funds, academic labs, external private companies.

Travels to which sites may be required for industrial testing. Travel required up to 25%

Visits of Conferences part of the job

Supports the Imerys Safety and Health strategy, contributes to achieve related targets
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Science, Mechanical, Chemical or Material Engineering or related discipline
-
5 years minimum of experience in a similar position in industry. Technical competencies on Reverberatory, Rotatory, Glass kilns air emissions, air treatments required.

Expertise mass and Heat balances, in fluid dynamic, heat transfer, thermodynamic, combustion, kinetics and/or process engineering.
