Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer Punching & Laser located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Process Engineer , The Process Engineer punching and Bending Processes main is to coordinate and execute the service to manufacturing with the aim of meeting the defined metrics as reduction of Downtime, Scrap reduction, compliance with hours earned and the correct execution
What a typical day looks like:
- Design and develop stamping processes for new products.
- Optimize existing stamping processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of components.
- Develop and document process specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
- Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
- Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.
- Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
- Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced English level.
- Proven experience in stamping or metal fabrication processes.
- Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
- Proficient in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices is a plus
