Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Infrastructure Solution Architect who will lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in technologies including vCenter, networking, PowerShell, Python, automation, Veeam/Backup technologies, DR, Azure, AI, and AWS. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, engineers, and project managers to ensure that our solutions align with both business objectives and the overall enterprise architecture, ensuring high performance, reliability, and future scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design & Strategy:
    • Develop and maintain high-level and functional design documents that align with enterprise architecture standards.
    • Ensure that all developed or modified infrastructure components meet business needs and solution performance goals.
    • Conduct detailed design work in accordance with established guidelines, providing specialist advice to enhance business performance through the strategic application of technology.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with business analysts to define clear and actionable business requirements.
    • Work closely with development teams, support managers, and project managers to scope and implement infrastructure projects, ensuring solutions are designed with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
    • Engage with developers to resolve design challenges and to create detailed solution specifications that integrate with existing enterprise systems.
    • Maintain and contribute to a centralized knowledge repository for design models, development standards, best practices, automation scripts, test plans, and project deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Problem Solving:
    • Identify and resolve cross-capability and cross-release issues that impact overall business architecture integrity.
    • Diagnose problems, analyze, and design production fixes or enhancements, ensuring rapid and effective issue resolution.
  • Technology Expertise:
    • Utilize and maintain proficiency in core technologies, including:
      • VMware vCenter: Manage and optimize virtualized environments.
      • Networking: Solid understanding of networking.
      • Scripting & Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell and Python.
      • Cloud Platforms: Architect solutions within Azure and AWS environments, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
      • Emerging Technologies: Leverage AI and automation to enhance infrastructure capabilities and drive business innovation.
      • Active Directory | Entra ID: In-depth experience with Active Directory and Entra ID, PKI, DNS
      • Database: In-depth experience building and troubleshooting databases, including SQL, MYSQL, & non-structured databases.
      • Backup and DR: Design, build, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect, Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level infrastructure solutions.
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with vCenter, advanced networking concepts, and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python.
    • Strong experience designing and working with backup and DR software, such as Veeam
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Solid understanding of automation frameworks, cloud architecture, virtualization, and AI integration within infrastructure.
    • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure designs.
    • Experience in diagnosing production issues and developing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical staff, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Educational Background:
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years in related infrastructure roles
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with AI integration in infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
