As the TopSky One Infrastructure Platform Solution Architect, you will lead the development and implementation of the ICT platform architecture for TopSky ATC One (our new Air Traffic Management system) and also OpenSky, a platform that is a unique offering that modernises the Air Traffic Management system architecture by providing the benefits of modern hybrid-cloud based technologies with increased scalability, flexibility, interoperability and ease of integration of 3rd party systems, components and applications.
This position is responsible for designing and coordinating "as-code" solutions, managing key technical decisions, ensuring compliance across the entire product ecosystem while ensuring alignment with the product roadmap, customer needs and technical strategy.
This role is based at the World Trade Centre in Melbourne, CBD.
Key responsibilities:
- Architectural leadership in ICT platform design and implementation
- Customer needs analysis and compliance management
- Cross-functional collaboration with other architects and stakeholders
- Development of detailed ICT platform architecture and documentation
- Risk and opportunity management for technical aspects
- Contribution to product planning and process improvements
- Ensuring consistency and quality of engineering artefacts
On day one you will come with:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in ICT platform (SOE, virtualisation, containers, network), having worked up to architecture level.
- Experience working within a complex systems engineering environment i.e. having worked on engineering projects being built via the v-model (essential)
- Kubernetes (mandatory)
- Experience in defining, documenting and implementing best practices
- Experience in working with large scale mission-critical systems
