About the Role 

We are excited to find our next new exceptional employee to join Ascent, please note this role is in need of someone who can start asap. 
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting, automating, and maintaining our cloud and DevOps infrastructure. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to design, configure, and monitor network infrastructure while ensuring high availability and security compliance. Your expertise will drive the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.  

Responsibilities 

• Support and automate existing infrastructure provisioning using PowerShell, ARM templates, and Terraform. 
• Maintain and support existing application and DevOps infrastructure. 
• Troubleshoot cloud services, conduct analyses, and resolve issues. 
• Apply and enforce operational and security measures in compliance with customer´s MR guidelines. 
• Monitor cloud and DevOps infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. 
• Design and configure network infrastructure to meet business needs. 
• Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve system reliability. 
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to support CI/CD processes. 
• Participate in roll-out activities and new infrastructure deployments. 
• Create and update comprehensive infrastructure documentation. 

What You Will Bring 

• Proficiency in YAML, PowerShell, and ARM templates. Terraform would be beneficial 
• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS (App Services, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, Routing, API Management). 
• Understanding of distributed systems, Windows Server administration, Azure Policies, and redundancy (e.g., geo-redundancy). 
• Familiarity with infrastructure visualization tools. 
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Azure Entra ID, and basic SQL. 
• Experience with Linux, Kusto Query Language, Gremlin Query Language, and Pester. 
• Knowledge of SaaS, Azure Active Directory (AAD), Managed Identities, Azure Artifacts, and Desired State Configuration (DSC). 
• Development Toolchain and CI/CD 
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio Code, and REST clients. 
• Operating Systems and Cloud Platforms.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
