The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently pursuing a new opportunity that has openings for an Infrastructure Architect to work in Tampa, FL or Fayetteville, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. In this mission we are focused on providing innovative, data-driven solutions and enterprise architecture enhancements to enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. The program emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge. The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads the development of comprehensive infrastructure architectures that meet technical and operational requirements, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Collaborates with stakeholders to identify gaps and propose strategic solutions, developing infrastructure roadmaps and strategies to support organizational goals.

Provides technical leadership and guidance to infrastructure teams, mentoring and training junior engineers and architects.

Ensures system compatibility and integrates with existing systems and infrastructure, implementing best practices for infrastructure development.

Develops and implements infrastructure security measures, including secure coding practices and compliance with NIST and DoD standards.

Continuously evaluates new infrastructure development tools and methodologies, documenting infrastructure designs and technical specifications.

Leads the development of infrastructure standards and guidelines, ensuring proper documentation and maintenance of infrastructure solutions.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions, providing technical support and guidance to ensure effective use of infrastructure tools and technologies.

Monitors infrastructure performance, recommending improvements to ensure systems can handle increasing workloads

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, with 12+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Must possess a Top-Secret clearance, with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • Relevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA Cloud+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent.

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and experience with designing and implementing scalable and secure infrastructure architectures.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures, including experience with virtualization and containerization technologies.

  • Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible and Terraform, and scripting languages, such as Python and PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling and risk management, and experience with integrating security measures into infrastructure designs.

  • Experience with technical planning, technical design, development, and integration of systems to meet specific requirements for building software/hardware components and supporting technical infrastructure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with leading and managing teams of technical staff, including providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects.

  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices, including DISA STIG and NIST 800-53, and experience with developing and implementing technical solutions that meet specific requirements for infrastructure architecture and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, with at least 10+ years of prior relevant experience in infrastructure architecture and design.

  • Relevant advanced technical certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent.

  • Expert-level knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and experience with designing and implementing complex and scalable infrastructure architectures.

  • Strong understanding of emerging trends and technologies in infrastructure architecture, including experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

  • Experience with leading and managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects.

  • Develops and implements automated infrastructure provisioning and management processes, identifying and mitigating potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Ensures compliance with industry standards and government regulations, including DISA STIG and NIST 800-53.

  • Provides technical guidance and support to ensure effective use of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Develops and maintains infrastructure documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, implementation guides, and system security plans, to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling and risk management, and experience with integrating security measures into infrastructure designs.

  • Experience with technical planning, technical design, development, and integration of systems to meet specific requirements for building software/hardware components and supporting technical infrastructure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with developing and implementing technical solutions that meet specific requirements for infrastructure architecture and design, including experience with industry standards and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Experience with leading and managing cross-functional teams, including providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects, and influencing development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results.

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
