We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Risk Assessor to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating potential security risks and providing recommendations for risk mitigation. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Risk identification and assessment by conducting thorough assessments of information systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify potential security risks and impact using risk assessment methodologies.

  • Analyze and quantify the impact and likelihood of identified risks.

  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports outlining identified vulnerabilities, associated risks, and recommended mitigation strategies.

  • Communicate assessment findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and safeguards in place.

  • Provide recommendations for enhancing security controls to better mitigate identified risks.

  • Ensure that cybersecurity practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

  • Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape and update risk assessments accordingly.

  • Work collaboratively with other cybersecurity professionals, IT teams, and business units to gather information and insights for risk assessments.

  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

  • Continuously update risk assessment methodologies to align with evolving cybersecurity landscape.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience of about 2 to 3 years in conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, vendor risk assessments, or related activities and an overall experience of 5+ years.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management frameworks, and industry standards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are a plus.

  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and technologies for vulnerability assessment. Familiarity with security frameworks e.g., NIST CSF, ISO, SOX, etc

Additional notes

  • Relocation assistance is not available with this position.​  

  • The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential .
