The Position
Responsible for IT Systems and Solutions Architecture Strategy including System Lifecycle Management, System backup and restoration, and Disaster Recovery Planning/Testing.
Relationships
Associate Manager, IT Systems.
Essential Functions

  • Organizes, develops, and maintains the IT Systems Solutions Architecture Strategy
  • Analyzes, plans, and audits the IT Systems Lifecycle Management Strategy
  • Responsible for the Disaster Recovery Plan revisions and testing
  • Ensure Backup and Restore process is effective, performed, and tested
  • Provides IT Governance for IT Strategies and Solutions
  • Identifies IT gaps and recommends strategic technical solutions to meet those IT and/or business needs
  • Provides mentoring, technical guidance, and leadership to ITS staff
  • Provides IT requirements for IT projects and support other business unit projects
  • Provide ad-hoc production support and after-hours support to the site
  • Support and practice IT Security
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties as assigned


Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 7-10 years' experience required
  • Practical experience in developing and administering networks with more than 200 clients required
  • Certification in a networking infrastructure discipline and/or(e.g. MSCEPMP) a plus
  • Specific knowledge of Microsoft networking principles and concepts required
  • Experience authoring IT proposals, requirements, and specifications required
  • Trouble-shoot, diagnose, resolve and document IT infrastructure systems preferred
  • Perform life-cycle system tasks for IT infrastructure preferred
  • Create, implement, and ensure adherence to strategic IT solution strategies preferred
  • Maintain and update the IT Disaster Recovery Plan and ensure testing of the plan preferred
  • Experience in backing up and restoring systems preferred
  • Perform project implementation and management tasks, including needs assessment, market surveys, specification development, system implementation and training for various information technology, telecommunication technology projects in accordance with established procedures preferred
  • Operate infrastructure systems under FDA regulations and guidelines as they relate to computer-based information and automation systems preferred
  • Coordinate computer system operation and administration tasks of multi-user computer and communications systems, including user security administration, training, backup, restoration, system software updates, performance monitoring, problem determination and resolution preferred
  • Establish and operate within IT infrastructure cost center budget preferred
  • Establish, enforce and maintain IT infrastructure policies and procedures preferred
  • Coordinates activities of IT infrastructure team preferred
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation in accordance with federal and corporate requirements preferred
  • Participate in corporate infrastructure guidance groups preferred
  • Perform other duties as assigned preferred
  • Strategic IT Project Planning, and site support preferred
