Business Systems Department:
The Business Systems team is responsible for the foundational technology infrastructure and operational efficiency of internal business processes that support all PracticeTek functions, and especially those in customer-facing roles. This includes the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical systems such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, and other internal tools, ensuring interoperability, data integrity, security, and process automation. The team focuses on optimizing workflows, enhancing productivity, improving customer experience, and ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy and security standards, enabling PracticeTek to operate effectively and scale efficiently.
The Career Opportunity:
As an Information Systems Analyst II (Zuora Administrator), you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing PracticeTek’s core business systems. This role offers the opportunity to analyze business requirements, develop technical solutions, automate manual processes, and contribute to the optimization of the Zuora Billing platform. You will have a direct impact on our billing operations, revenue recognition, and financial workflows. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure systems meet their needs and drive operational efficiency.
Areas of Accountability:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
- Advise stakeholders and end-users on requirements or processes, helping to optimize workflows and acting as a champion for elegant, scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Act as an owner of the Zuora Product Catalog, supporting new product launches, pricing changes, and discounting structures and rules.
- Support the automation of revenue scheduled, deferrals, and allocations within Zuora Revenue (RevPro)
- Support audits and financial reporting by maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Configure and customize the Zuora Billing platform, along with integrated/installed Salesforce components relating to it, to meet user needs.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and technical documentation (e.g., system architecture, entity relationship diagrams, etc).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the Zuora Billing system, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and deploy system changes and enhancements.
- Participate in system upgrade and implementation projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Act as a system administrator for the Zuora Billing platform, managing end-user access and system health and performance.
- Act as the primary liaison between PracticeTek and Zuora Support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of system issues.
Competencies for Success
- 5+ years of experience in Finance, billing operations, or revenue accounting within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company.
- Proven 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue platforms. (Required)
- Expertise in administering, configuring and optimizing the Zuora Billing platform.
- Experience with Zuora-Salesforce integrations and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve system issues efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of system development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Zuora Administrator certification highly desirable.
- Experience with SQL, data analytics, and reporting tools desirable.
