The Role

The Information Assurance (IA) Analyst is responsible for supporting and collaborating with other IA analysts on various IA services and engagements. This position acts as a junior resource for Information Assurance services and client engagements. Responsible for performing work in collaboration with other IA Analysts.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as an Information Assurance resource for ongoing client engagements and internal strategic projects. 
  • Assist with supporting clients and IA team members during IA engagements. 
  • Collaborate and support other team members on the delivery of project tasks and deliverables within agreed upon timeframes for client and internal projects. 
  • Collaborate and assist on portions of IA service types including but not limited to risk assessments, assessments against control frameworks, incident response plans and testing, security documentation development, plan of action, milestone development-coordination, -execution and third-party risk assessments.
  • Perform work tasks related to the service engagement with oversight from the engagement lead.
  • Help prepare client engagements such as preparing and disseminating templates and client communications.
  • Perform research and analysis of industry trends and framework updates.
  • Assist with client interviews and information gathering steps during client engagements.
  • Record observations, meeting notes, and identifies recommendations during client engagements.
  • Support the IA team on operational and internal departmental projects.
  • Assist in the creation of technical and security documentation templates and processes.

Your Foundation. The requirements for this role: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field(s).
      • In lieu of a degree, two (2) years of experience in a related technology field and relevant industry certifications are required.
    • Knowledgeable about the latest Information Security trends, threats, and technologies and the impacts upon an Information Security Program.
    • Experience with working on independent engagements as well as within a team setting.
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and projects.
    • Ability to perform effective research and analysis through interviews and document review.
    • Experience and knowledge in the following areas:
      • Security frameworks such as: NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS Top 18 ISO 27001.
      • Information Security Risk Assessments.
      • Development of Information Security Policies, Standards and Procedures. Principles and concepts.
    • Must be a citizen of the United States.

Additional Capabilities that will differentiate you for this role: 

  • Experience with professional services and delivering on client engagements.
  • Background and experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Holds a Security+ or other industry relevant security certificate.
