What's the role?
- The position would be responsible for ensuring seamless payroll processing and driving efficiencies to the current processes and for ensuring ongoing payroll service delivery.
- Managing and administration of the end to end payroll cycle from collating the inputs, reviewing the output, Accounting, statutory fillings etc.
- Clearing Final Settlement cases forwarded by HR Service Desk through Tool
- Ensures employee queries related to payroll are answered on time
- Ensure statutory payments and returns are filled on time.
- Computation of withholding taxes and perquisites when required
- Managing year end Form 16 distribution & Quarterly E-TDS Return fillings.
- Reviewing and posting of payroll journals & related accruals.
- Coordination with Internal and External Audits as required.
- Able to work in monthly close by preparing journal entries, explaining balance sheet and income statement variances, assisting with the preparation of financial reports in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards. Also ensure preparing and maintaining account reconciliations.
- Able to fully assist management with information to external auditors for annual audit of financial statements.
- Assist in Internal audit of company.
- Work on different projects simultaneously as necessary.
- Able to handle data volume and deliver as per timeline.
- Good knowledge in Payroll taxes
- Ability to ensure confidentiality and protection of employee data based on Data Privacy legislation
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Who are you?
Qualifications: B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA
Skills/Experience
- Experience with India payroll is must
3-7 years of prior payroll experience
Mandatory experience in PF,ESIC, TDS, Form 16, Professional Tax
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Good written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
Able to take up variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, Demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work.
Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency. Actions and errors can have functional area impact
