Lemonaid Health (part of 23andMe) is seeking telemedicine physicians to provide virtual patient care on a contract (1099) basis. In this role you will deliver world-class medical care using telemedicine modalities including video, phone and asynchronous secure messaging.
About the Position
As an independent contractor physician with Lemonaid Health, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary care team focused on common conditions that would present within a primary care medical practice. You will be responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and internal organization policies and procedures. We provide training on our clinical protocols and technology and supply a secure laptop and headset.
Shift Schedule & Compensation Structure
- Synchronous services are available 7a - 5p in all time zones, 7 days per week
- Asynchronous services may be provided at any time
- Seeking minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
- Shift length can range from 1 hour up to 10 hours - schedule based on your availability
- Compensation is on a per visit basis, tiered by consultation type
- Premium earning potential during evenings and on weekends
- Must be physically located within the United States during shifts
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care targeting a range of common chronic and acute conditions
- Review medical histories and lab work to diagnose, treat, and construct care plans
- Complete both asynchronous and synchronous consultations
- Deliver patient care that balances the best that medical science has to offer, patient preferences and values, and invests in patients' future confidence and skills
- Communicate effectively with other providers, including using comprehensive charting and messaging
- Demonstrate flexibility by adapting as needed to change processes and practice in an evolving environment
- Adhere to Lemonaid Health/23andMe platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training
Requirements
- Active, non-restricted medical licensure in multiple states. Preference for licensure in:
- CA, TX, FL, NY, GA, PA, AZ, IL, NJ, VA, NC, WA, OH, CO, MI, MD, TN, MA, NV, OK, MO, IN, OR, SC, MS
- MD or DO from a US-accredited medical school, with current Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Active NPI
- Clear malpractice history
- Outstanding clinical expertise and adherence to evidence-based practice
- Competency in providing patient education at every visit
- Communicate professionally, tactfully, and kindly while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
- Experience and comfort with treating depression, anxiety, erectile dysfunction, and evaluating and prescribing birth control
- Above average comfort with technology - telemedicine/virtual care experience a plus
