Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an IHealth Office Assistant - Jupiter, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • ​Manage the overall laboratory purchases for the Fields lab, including the ordering of gases, liquid nitrogen and supplies for department labs. 

  • Perform and oversee the ordering of equipment and service contracts for the operation of the Fields Lab.

  • Liaise with the lab manager, research assistants and vendor technical support staff for equipment/instruments, updates and repairs as needed.

  • Liaise with the Coordinator in submitting invoices in a timely manner to be expensed in WD.

  • Manage emergency operations of the department. 

  • Manage the safety operations of all the Fields research labs. 

  • Handle keys, lock issues for departmental spaces in building MC-17.

  • Maintains inventory for the Fields Research labs.

  • Manage department seminar room, reserve conference rooms. Manage video conference equipment via, presentations setup and IT connections.

  • Inspect all inventory, assist university property control personnel in accounting for all state property in MC17.

  • Interface with physical plant and facilities planning as needed for the repair, upgrade or renovation of facilities.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Salary:

$20.19 per hour.

Work Days and Hours:

Mondays - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Part time, 25 hours per week.
