Job Summary:
As an L2 Application Support Specialist at Vanderlande Industries, you will be part of a global IT organization dedicated to delivering exceptional IT services to support the company’s business objectives. The L2 Application Support role involves supporting local teams with WMS and ERP systems, collaborating with global IT teams, troubleshooting system issues, optimizing processes, maintaining documentation, and assisting with hardware setup. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and experience in application support.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Local Team Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for the distribution center team for application-related issues.
- Ensure that all systems, including WMS and ERP, support local operational efficiency effectively.
- Ensure that all tickets/incidents as well as integrity issues are properly managed.
Collaboration with Global Teams
- Work closely with global IT and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues beyond local capabilities.
- Participate in global system updates, ensuring local compliance and minimal disruption to operations.
- Keep all the global stakeholders informed about Disruptions (if any).
System Understanding and Troubleshooting
- Develop a solid conceptual understanding of the ERP and WMS systems used within the distribution center.
- Assist in resolving system issues and escalating technical problems to appropriate global teams and 3rd party providers when necessary.
- Understand and train people about integrations between multiple systems. Ensure that proper documents are created while troubleshooting.
Process Optimization and Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational processes through effective system use.
- Provide recommendations and feedback to global teams to enhance system performance and usability.
- Work with Product Owner and Scrum Master of Global team for prioritization of issues.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain clear documentation of local system configurations, workflows, and issue resolution steps.
- Train and guide local team members on system functionalities and best practices.
- Periodic review the documents and update it from time to time
Hardware and Peripheral Support
- Assist with basic configuration and troubleshooting of scanning devices, label printers, and related peripherals.
- Ensure hardware works seamlessly with WMS and ERP systems.
Other Support
- Support Global Team for audit related questions
- Support Global Team with inputs for Service Review Meeting with Vendor.
- Other Support which comes from time to time
Your Experience:
- Proven experience in application support, particularly with WMS and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards Supply Chain (SND), LOCUS, AppShare will be plus.
- Knowledge of hardware and peripheral setup and troubleshooting is a plus.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both local and global teams.
