The Human Resources Generalist supports employees and managers in the Phillippine call center. The day-to-day work of this role will support all stages of the employee lifecycle including answering general questions, facilitating manager training, and partnering with managers to resolve employee relations issues. The HR Generalist will work closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure the delivery of global projects and division specific process improvements.
DESCRIPTION
- Partner with managers to understand and resolve employee relations issues including providing guidance on company policies and procedures, advising on disciplinary action, writing performance improvement plans, and addressing general concerns.
- Conduct employment-related investigations and work with legal counsel as necessary.
- Support processes through the employee lifecycle including performance management, organizational change, and conduct issues.
- Review employee handbooks and make updates as required.
- Review federal, state, and local compliance changes such as paid sick leave and make policy changes where appropriate.
- Develop and deliver trainings for managers on various topics such as effective communication as well as annual compliance training for employees.
- Review HR processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- New Hires process: ensure new hire procedure is properly completed (ensure paperwork is filled out and required documentation is secured.
- Conducts local new hire orientation
- Terminations process: ensure termination procedure is properly completed; ensure required documentation is completed and submitted and approve terminations.
- Perform other special projects or duties when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability connect with employees and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience using MS Office suite
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining excellent service
- Comfortable in difficult situations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- 4-6 years experience ; minimum of one year as a Generalist
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience using Workday highly desirable
